The performance claims made in this artilce by MS and Sony are COMPLETE crap! Do you have any Idea how much computing power 1 TerraFLOPS is?? (yes it is an ‘S’ on the end). Look at www.top500.org sometime. 100th fastest system on the planet at the moment (http://www.top500.org/lists/plists.php?Y=2004&M=11) is 1500 x 2.8GHz XEON processors and is benched at 2.026 TerraFLOPS. You honestly want us to believe that I can replace a system of that size with a single PS3 or 2 XBOXes! You have got to be kidding me. What did they measure this with? Does anyone have any idea where they got these figures or has someone suffered from PHAT FINGERS and mistyped something.
