I heard that Bill Gates made some comments about the next-generation battle. He said that by the end of 2007 it will be clear of who wins the battle, Microsoft or Sony! He doesn't even think of Nintendo as a threat at all. What a joke!
What do u all think? |

I think Billie is in for a surprise. Going by Nintendo's history of video gaming innovation, they may well be onto something. The public may actually like it! Nobody even knows yet what can be done with the new way of controlling video games.
Just re-releasing the Xbox in a slicker case, a more powerful CPU, and a silly pretentious name (360) is not going to excite anyone. |

revolution will no doubt be up there. all you have to do is look at how well the 360 has done in japan so far plus all the troubles they have had with the console.
then you look at the ps3 which is just overrated. i mean have you seen the new desgin for the controller! its terrible
the revolution is bringing in a brand new stlye of gaming and rumour has it for a very cheap price so it will definatley be competing with microsoft and sony. mr gates is going to get a nasty shock when it comes out |

Bill Gates is an idiot if he doesn't consider Nintendo as a serious competitor. He's digging his own grave.
To be fair, I guess it's probably because Nintendo is often seen as a being marketed mainly towards a younger audience, while the Playstation and Xbox have more mature games. But I believe the Revolution will change all that. |

nintendo has a history of making consoles that attract kiddies and microsoft and sony has done well in getting the adult market
i think gates is right (even if he is a tosser) the winner will either be sony or microsoft
oh and i heard that the ps3 controller is very comfortable in the hands so don't go bashing what you don't know |

haha, yeah the xbox did so well:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox#Price_history
'Internal documents show that the Xbox division had invested $4 billion from 2000 to 2005. [12] In particular, the Xbox hardware itself is a loss leader, since the console was sold at a loss even at its debut price. The losses deepened when sales of the Xbox increased and when the price was reduced successive times to compete with PlayStation 2 [13]. Microsoft predicted that it would not make a profit on the Xbox for at least three years. This prediction turned out to be correct; Microsoft Game Studios, Microsoft's game division in charge of Xbox development, had its first profitable quarter reported in January 2005 [14].' |
