Nintendohater just look at Sony’s specs for the original playstation 2. It was nowhere near what they promised, when it finally came out. Sony always over promises and under delivers. Sony is the only company I know which would make an MP3 player which doesn’t play mp3’s. Sure now their mp3 players do play mp3 because they realized their standard was a waste. Nobody wanted to change an mp3 to ATRAC3. WTF is ATRAC oh Sony’s way to make money with royalties instead of using mp3s. What other examples can I bring up. Here is a big one Betamax. Why would a company design another standard of VCR two years after the original? Can we say Royalties? Sony realized that you make more money if you develop the technology. Why do you think Sony wouldn’t work with Toshiba on the next Version of media storage? Oh because they want the royalties. Again Im not against Sony I believe that there is room for all 3 companies and believe competition brings better development meaning better games. Hell if blu ray catches on ill buy a ps3 just for it. Why would I go out and pay $1800 for a blu ray machine when I can buy a ps3 for $500. I believe each system has its strong points and weak points. In a way I feel sorry for Sony because the company is slowly dieing. Only 2 divisions made money last year one was its movie division and the other was its game division. I found out the other day Sony signed a multi million deal with Samsung for a large amount of ram. 10 to 1 odds say that they are going to try to take out the apples IPOD to gain be the leader in walkman style gadgets once again.

i think that nintendo should take a risk look at it if nintendo spend loads of money giving their machine more power than the xbox360 and still continue what their doing with innovation and gameplay and also giving their machine more features like burnable cd's and movie downloads.like how nintendo have wifi compatible i hope they come out with a device were u can send old retro games to the ds

If you ask me, I prefer Nintendo better because it has the majority of the the oher games for PS2 and XBOX. Yes it doesn't have some of he good ones like Halo or... well I don't know much about PS2. Most of the ones that it doesn't have are realy violent and I don't really like violence but a lot of people do, so the nintendo consoles have disapointed some. Well, it has most of the other games PLUS some other games that are really entertaining. That's my opinion but I really agree with Void the Noid. Void is absolutely right.

I’m not sure who will have the best machine. There are 3 ways to look at it. Nintendo goes for innovation. They haven’t really said much about their machine. The thing is Nintendo is not spilling its guts because Sony copies everything they do. Let’s start out with analog joystick. Nintendo was the first. Do you remember the original Playstation controller, no analog at all? Next up would be force feed back. Nintendo was the first incorporating it with STARFOX. Oh what’s that Sony copied them again? The only thing I can think of which Sony did first was use cd-rom. Oh wait a second Nintendo had the cd-rom drive for the SNES. Oh yeah that’s right Nintendo had Sony and Phillips design it. Am I noticing something oh both Sony and Philips made there own machines. The machines were probably just left over parts from the SNES CD. Its not that I am against the other systems its just people are ragging Nintendo for innovation when if it wasn’t for them we probably wouldn’t have the games we have today. Next up XBOX 360. It looks like a half decent machine I don’t have any complaints about it. The controller is wonderful with it they finally placed all of buttons in usable positions. Not like the original XBOX controller which was huge and had those annoying black and white buttons which you couldn’t reach. I think the only weak spot the 360 has is the dvd drive is 9.4 gigs enough for HD tv. Guess we will have to wait and see. Last but not least is the PS3. I’m not sure if I believe anything Sony says anymore they said that the Playstation 2 was going to be more powerful then any of the other machines out there. If that was true why were Game cube and XBOX more powerful? I admit Nintendo made a big mistake with the Game cube. The mistake was with the mini DVDs. They just didn’t hold enough data. They also didn’t have 3rd party support which caused a problem. The one thing Sony has going for them is blu-ray. I admit 200 Gigs sounds great. I am almost in disbelief that they will get it up to 200 Gigs. The thing is right now Sony is having a small problem with blu-ray. They only are ready to release it with 1 layer which means it is only 25 gigs. Sure they say they can do 8 layers but if so why are they postponing the duel layered discs? Another thing with Playstaion 3 is the cell processor. Does Sony even have any of these things built? Sure at e3 everything looked great but anyone can make a video look great hell you could play the video they showed on the original Playstation and it would have looked great. I am just curious what Playstations new dream machine is going to cost. I mean they have a New chip and a new media type in it. It sounds like a great machine I am just worried they are going to disappoint me yet again.

by the way the xbox did not kill the ps2 in sales, in fact it didn't even come close. xbox sold 14 million units and the ps2 sold about 22 million units. the ps2 had better games, with the exception of halo and halo 2, and it had the same graphics. Not to mention it was cheaper. Now the ps3 has better graphics and better games, people who have xbox 360's are saying they suck balls. The nintendo revolution has that controller but, thats just a s***** gimmick. ps2 was always better and the ps3 shall dominate everything!
