Nintendo Revolution to play downloaded Sega and TurboGrafx Games
A “best of” collection of Sega games will be available for download off the Nintendo Revolution’s online service, Virtual Console. Gamers will be able to access over a 1000 Genesis titles as well as games from the TurboGrafx console (a system jointly developed by NEC and Hudson, known as PC Engine in Japan) when the console is released around Thanksgiving.

Making the announcement in his keynote at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said the selection of Sega and TurboGrafx games would give Revolution owners a chance to relive their past experiences.
20 years of classic Nintendo titles from the NES, SNES and N64 will also be available for download off the Virtual Console service.
Chief Executive Officer of Sega America and Europe, Naoya Tsurumi, said Sega was equally pleased with the partnership as Nintendo.
“Sega’s support of the Virtual Console system will introduce more gamers to classic Genesis hits and reinvigorate many of our popular brands.” he said.
No details emerged from Iwata’s keynote about the Revolution console itself, however, he did describe it as an experience that can not be matched in the gaming industry.
“This new approach is like stepping onto an unexplored continent for the first time, with all the potential for discovery that suggests,” he said.
“No one else can match the environment we’re creating for expanding the game experience to everyone. Our path is not linear, but dynamic.”
It seems Revolution fans will have to wait until E3 in May for any further details about the console to be released.
